Frank Ocean - Pyramids: New single from Franks new album "Channel Orange." So excited for this release. Supposedly containing cameos from Andre 3000 and Earl Sweatshirt...The song really takes off at the 4:30 mark, but the whole song is dope and gives the feel of his "Nostalgia, Ultra" mixtape. Merica.

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Stronger: Off their recently US released album, i can't stop listening to this song. Check out their other song from this album that i posted a while back Garden. He's from the UK, but still.....Merica.

Childish Gambino - R.I.P. ft Bun B: Off Childish Gambinos new mixtape ROYALTY (click the link to download) which dropped on the 4th. The whole tape is dope including tracks from Danny Brown, Bun B, Schoolboy Q, Ghostface Killah, even Tina Fey. Anyways, R.I.P takes the main sample from the Kavinksy song Nightcall, which was also posted in March. Enjoy. Merica.

childish gambino - we aint them : donald glover release this track the other day from his twitter and his blog. best track ive heard him drop off his upcoming mixtape "the switch." other tracks dropped include Unnecessary, Eat Your Vegetables and Fuck Your Blog. the nerdy lyricist plays on lil waynes line by saying "move in silence like a .gif"

noah guthrie and christina grimmie - somebody that i used to know : noah guthrie, quickly becoming popular from his Sexy and I Know It cover, is from greer, sc and is 18 years old. 18. this kid has some serious soul for having such young lungs. check out some of his other covers too, i havent heard one bad one.

yeasayer - henrietta : new song dropped the other day off their new upcoming album. their last album, "odd blood", is one of my favorites in the past few years. i like the new single too.

Swimwear [ Easy High ] The keyboard strokes and the baseline go together so well in this song. I like.

Santigold [Disparate Youth] Solid jam from the "M.I.A." sounding Santigold. More like this Santigold, less like the others.

Kanye West [Way Too Cold] Previously titled "Theraflu", this jam gets extra play on my speakers lately. Co-Produced by the "Niggas in Paris" Producer Hit Boy. The video is perfect too. Kanye goes in on the track in typical fashion. Talkin about his money, apathy towards public image, and his problems with his past celebrity girlfriends. Hes a narcicist but he makes some daggum good tunes.

Ben Howard [Only Love] This guy is getting bigger in the UK and the dude can jam. Check out some of his other youtube videos.

Purity Ring [Obedear] Cool slow jam. Tried to find another song to put in here but this one kept sticking in my head.

phantogram # don't move (cant stop listening to this one. cool layering with some dark lyrics from a creepy girl. still danceable though)

beach house # walk in the park (solid summer sunset driving song. put the windows down and turn the volume up. beach house has a show coming up in Charleston soon at the music farm)

wiz khalifa # my favorite song (wiz claims he is taking a step away from the mainstream with his most recent self released mixtape Taylor Allderdice. stating  "These aren’t songs aimed to be hits or widely accepted or even understood. It’s for people who live like us and can relate. And informative to those who can’t." kinda sounds like hes still talking about how much drugs he does and money he spends, the beats dope though)

odd future # oldie (if you ever wanted to know the individual styles and attitudes of the big players in odd future all wrapped up into one 10 minute clip, here you go. their last song off their cumulative mixtape/album, oldie shows the impressive lyrical skills of tyler, hodgy beats, and the epic return of earl sweatshirt. to paraphrase the late puff daddy, you can hate them now, but they wont stop now)

TOTALLY ENORMOUS EXTINCT DINOSAURS + GARDEN = Incredible layering and duet contrast from the UK group (T.E.E.D.). Infectious tune that will get stuck in your head.

KAVINSKY + NIGHTCALL = Intro song to the 2011 film, "Drive". Creepy, 80's, bad ass; all applicable adjectives. Go watch the movie.

DARWIN DEEZ + RADAR DECTECTOR = Cool song with some funny ideas in the video. The chest hair t-shirt is my personal favorite.

CARL CARLTON + SHES A BAD MAMA JAMA = Such a sick old school jam. Just wait til the keyboard solo at the end.

 KANYE WEST/THE XX + TOUCH THE SKY x (CARLOS SERRANO) = Beautiful mash up of two songs constantly on my playlists. Well done, but not at the table Carlos.

gotye_somebody that i used to know - brought to my attention from my buddy bishop, the video is an awesome portrayal of the song. very phil collins, and phil collins is awesome.


tony williams ft kanye west_another you - off tony williams mixtape most of my best rappers are friends. kanye crushes the track like always. perfect jam for valentines.

bon iver ft the roots_perth - sick rendition of the grammy dudes, Justin Vernon, featuring the roots. and how did jimmy fallon convince the roots to be his full time band? anyways, an excellent use of 8 minutes.

chiddy bang_by your side - new chiddy video release. dope beat. new album "breakfast" drops feb 28.

Alabama Shakes :::: Hold On == So excited about this band. They just came out with a 4 song ep that is amazing. Showing sounds of older Kings of Leon and the Black Keys, with more soul.

Underwater Seacreatures :::: Sincere Serene == Chillwave band from VA. Sounds a lot like Toro y Moi. Their new cd is only a dolla. Get it here.

Lil Wayne Ft. Imogen Heap :::: Fly By Night (R3K Rmx) == This is actually more of a mashup than a remix. Consisting of Imogen Heap and Lil Wayne's " Swag Surfin" bars from the No Ceilings mixtape. Regardless, it is dope.

Kid Cudi :::: Falling Star (R3K Rmx) == I know....another R3K. But this one is dope too. Cudi and Florence should do some for real work together.

LCD Soundsystem :::: Tribulations == Clllllaasssic LCD Soundsystem. Sick video too.
